Does THIS:
Moroun, 84, and Stamper, 62, were sent to jail Thursday as punishment for their company being found in contempt of court. Judge Prentis Edwards said Detroit International Bridge Co. repeatedly failed to follow his orders to work with the state of Michigan and get the Gateway Project done. have anything to do with THIS? The son of a Detroit judge who is set to impose contempt of court penalties against Ambassador Bridge owner Matty Moroun has been appointed to the bench by Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder. Somebody has some splainin to do. It likely won't be Mr Moroun. For the sake of integrity in the bench, perhaps in the executive branch in Lansing, I want to see a really good reason. I am really seriously shaken by this if it is true. I know one fan of this site whom I hope would take a look at this. I pray there is no quid pro quo, but for the life of me I cannot get over what would have to be the crappiest coincidence in Michigan political history. Whats burning?
Well.. in April it was Flint.
And coincidentally, there was a simultaneous downturn in firefighter employment, which made the situation even more critical..
Is it me or does there always seem to be a lot of coincidence surrounding public employee issues? But never fear, the federal government has a handle on the situation. The cavalry has arrived. (230 words in story) Full Story By JGillman, Section News
Business has been OK, but technical support, dealing with holiday based events, and even now spending more time trying to analyze ways to get Michigan out of this mess sure can lead to a bad case of A.D.D. "Multitasking is not all its cracked up to be.
Apologies for the failure to get my articles up in a timely manner. But there is a point of good news I received this morning I thought I would share. One of the products I sold to a friend apparently saved a life, and half of a home recently. That product, A wireless baby monitor, was checked up on, and his relative (the one he bought as a gift for)saw smoke, and was able to get children out. With half the home burned out but everyone safe, they made it a point to call and say thanks. I would attribute such "coincidences" to a higher power personally, but certainly share in the happiness with the safety of his extended family. |
