I be lovin' the 'ol rumor mill today. Oh, what fun... via detroitnews.com
Could Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder be a vice presidential pick? Ya right, don't bust your arm patting yourself on the back, Rick. 5th worst.
"There is that perception that Michigan still has a ways to go," said J.P. Donlon, editor in chief at Chief Executive Group. "We haven't received much in the way of feedback that evidences the changes are yet significant for them at this stage." Actually, Snyder makes a lot of sense for Romney, especially when the Obamneycare debates start in the general election. Snyder is the only governor pushing hard for the Health Insurance Exchange. That should be a huge clue that the GOP heir apparent will merely tinker with retooling the ACA. Wanna bet $10,000 on that? LOL
Now, the ultimate upside for Conservatives in Michigan? It gets governor milquetoast the hell out of our hair so Right-To-Work can be pursued without Snyder's obstruction. Calley expanded government with pushing his pet insurance coverage mandate through, so it'd clearly be to his advantage to work towards the R-T-W goal. If not, then Calley has made himself an easy primary target in 2014. The possible Win-Win outcomes presented are limitless. (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Remember folks, this is only about transparency.
Lansing- The University of Michigan and Michigan State University could lose millions in state aid next year if they don't comply with legislative dictates that some view as ideological micromanaging of the state's largest universities. It is very important to note the following.
Voters authorized a constitutional amendment in 2008 to allow Michigan scientists to create embryonic stem cell lines. But lawmakers included a requirement in the 2012 budget to have researchers file an annual report with a handful of figures, including how many stem cell lines it has created. Now, let's flashback to July 19, 2010. (394 words in story) Full Story By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Nothing sadder to see than an alleged adult grovel with unruly children. At least the MI-GOP can be proud that their Guv Nerdholm speaks The Left's language well, eh?
And wear a damn necktie, ya Boomer generation slob. (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
There really is no end to Lansing goonion payola, and crony capitalism that goes on in Michigan. via detroitnews.com
Detroit - The Westin Book Cadillac avoided defaulting on a $15 million loan this month after a city pension fund intervened, raising questions about the health of a landmark hotel and symbol of the city's economic redevelopment. Yup. Just like Ferchill Group boasts on its own website.
"The high cost of renovating The Book-Cadillac Hotel required creative financing involving the city, county and state, along with tax credits and other sources that previous developers couldn't handle. The Ferchill Group brought to the table financing tools that Detroit had never used. With the Ferchill team on board, we are confident that we will finally see this project become a reality." Updated memo to Mayor Dave Bing, and the folks in Detroit... blow it out your a$$, ya mooching parasites. (3 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News

Detroit - Part of an $11 million grant intended to provide business attire to 400 low-income job-seekers instead helped only two people, an audit of the city's Department of Human Services has found. While Guv Snynerd plays footsie with Detroit, the City of Hamtramckstan and Wayne County is nearing Tango Uniform with meeting their payrolls. Michigan's tax on pensions and retirement accounts kicked in on Jan. 1 and, not long after that, Jack Vassallo kicked back. Why folks in this state thought it would be 'smart' to vote for a CPA with a law degree from the Peoples Republic of Ann Arbor still puzzles me. And what's going on with this @ 0:08? That an Ann Arbor thing? |
