Tag: "The Enemies Within: Communists Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress"By KG One, Section News
I recently came back from the Romeo Area Tea Party/Southeast Michigan 9-12 Meeting this evening featuring Trevor Loudon author of "The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress".
For those of you who have not had the opportunity to hear him speak, I would highly recommend doing so. In the packed room with about 250-300 people attending, when you get two standing ovations before you even begin to speak, that's usually a pretty good indication that you're going to hear a good speaker. This evening, he didn't disappoint. Even after an almost 2-hour long speech, I'm still decompiling the amount of information that he had gone over from his book on 14 sitting US Senators and over 50 US Representatives, without so much as using notes or cards the entire time, along with their connections with the CPUSA, DSA, WWP, WPC, USPC & a huge laundry list of other groups who have influenced their policy positions. Many of his connections, including a certain US Senate Candidate from Michigan, just might surprise you. His section about supporting groups (i.e. unions) and how their positions have changed in just the past 10-20 years was also a little eye-opening. For those worried about throwing out unsubstantiated accusations, he also included numerous citations on all of the people included in his book. He has a very short speaking schedule. From what I have been able to piece together from what was announced at tonight's meeting, he will only be in Michigan for this week only. Here are the upcoming dates and locations:
Lapeer County Tea Party Patriots If there are any questions (or if you would like to confirm times), I would recommend calling the venues listed above. If you are unable to attend, the Romeo Area Tea Party had a crew videoing the event. I'll post a link when it becomes available. (1 comment) Comments >> |
