Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    Feet Meet Fire

One of the most disturbing things I have ever had to do in my life is pull the lever for Rick Snyder.

Yeah, I know.  The bootlickers in Lansing are saying that "Gillman has turned RightMichigan.com into a hate Republican site, and right now we need all the help we can get! What is the matter with those guys, going on like that in the middle of the most important election of our time?!"

    Ok.

I would agree that this is indeed the most election of our time.  Of our lives even, and quite possibly the most defining point we have had in the last century. This is ACTUALLY a LOVE the Republicans site. But its a little more like 'hard love', in the hope that the right decisions are made by those political adolescents that currently are in power .

Anyhow, Rick Snyder is not running for anything right now.

Yet he still needs to be held accountable for his actions. And even inaction. Given that Michigan started out the process of this election cycle as a slightly leaning Democrat (Obama) state, and now is considered (once again) a lost cause by the ongoing Republican presidential campaign, we should be a little concerned for the down tickets.  THIS will not help:

"For the first time, the Governor, on the record, has confirmed he will not call out the president by name.

MIRS asked, "You will say nothing negative about Barack Obama?"

"No. I don't say negative things about people whenever I can help it," Snyder said.

    Excuse me, say what?

Hedging bets? Trying to get him to capitulate on the bridge-trade pact? Is there a new Ardesta sales agreement with the feds for embryo oil?  Whats going on?

Snyder, and those who support him are a disgrace to the Michigan Republican party.

    More below

Yes, a disgrace to the Michigan Republican party.

Solidarity behind Snyder has never waned from the party itself.  In fact, when he has done the right things, we have had no trouble lauding those here. Yet when the chips are down in the most important election, he abandons not just our presidential selection, but in the process, a number of local candidates as well.

Snyder has NOTHING to lose by going after Obama from an electoral stance.  Not being a candidate in this part of the cycle, he is immune to real political effect.  In fact, if anything remotely Republican (or ~shudder~ conservative) is on his agenda, he will need the help of a majority being kept in the state house.  He needs to be a champion of Republicans in the state. Including the top dog candidate, Romney.

And whether you like Mitt or not, there is no comparison to the budding Hugo Chavez who 'occupies' our white house right now.  Mr "You didn't build that" is the most dangerous threat to our Republic we have ever had.  The very concept of 'redistribution' (legalized theft) ought to be enough to wake folks up, but the sales pitch is as smooth as baby butter (yes another shameless anti-abortion plug) and more folks are falling in to become zombies.  When those folks see no resistance from our REPUBLICAN governor, who is it that becomes repudiated?

I have searched the news reports, and cannot find ANY evidence of Snyder solidly speaking out on behalf of team Romney.  We need better than this.  Michigan at one time was considered 'in-play' for this election, yet now we are looking at the Senate as our only salvation.

Mr 38% needs to be stumping HARD for the team, or get out.

If he cannot, I am praying a legitimate contender steps up to the plate in two years.

    Won't say anything "bad", huh? (5.00 / 2) (#1)

    Soooooo lessee here...

In about a 48-hours news cycle, we learn that not only did the US Ambassador to Libya who was sodomized by "peaceful" Muslims engaged in a "spontaneous" protest (at least that's the line the administration is sticking with...or are they?), but was also murdered along with three other Americans while his whereabouts were unknown for several hours.

Pres. B.O. had intel that something was going on in that little corner of the world which is worse than Detroit, but went to bed more concerned with his upcoming "The View", Letterman, Jay-Z & "The Pimp with the Limp" appearances.

And the guv can't man up and say something bad???

As for the republican milksops who have issues with the overall tone of the postings here, I've said this before and it obviously bears repeating again: When republicans start acting like Republicans, they'll have nothing to fear from the regulars who post here.

I'm not going to bore people with any specific examples (if that is really burning someone up that much, use that search thingy in the upper-right hand corner). But the blue-bloods had better come to the realization that they need the grassroots, more than the grassroots needs the blue-bloods!

What the hell has he done for Romney? (5.00 / 2) (#2)

I haven't seen jacksquat from him. I'm out busting my ass on the ground for a guy that in my own words "sucks less." This was after I said I wasn't going to do a damn thing to help after the primary because I was pissed off at the spiking the football afterward. Luckily for him, Obama's the opponent and he's the worst in my lifetime give or take Carter.

Rick Michigan and the rest got their 'most electable' candidate. Now where the hell are these chattering class and "political class" people? Some of Mitt's big supporters are active. Some I see helping. Most of these so called big names are doing nothing. In Snyder's case, not only is he doing nothing to help, his piss poor policies are hurting us up and down the ticket. Gas tax? Again? You got to be kidding me. He needs to get primaried. Republicans need to be leaders and not followers of bad policy from a guy who I'm still not sure is even a Republican.

And on a local note, if you expect some of us to fold your lit in the lit drops, the least I can expect is for you to join us there. If you are running under the Republican banner, I expect you to do your part to help the ticket, or at least campaigns downticket that need your help. Bill Rogers and Cindy Denby are out campaigning. Joe Hune's helping and he's not even running this year.

Get off your ass and work, or I'm not voting for you in November. I'm going to be voting "blank" for some local positions this year unless things change. If you are a local republican, I better either know you, or at least know of you, or you haven't done enough to get my vote because I'm going to assume that you're lazy.

My tolerance is wearing thin for defeat being snatched from the jaws of victory.
