    iCaucus Election Alert (and Recommendation)

You may remember me mentioning the Independence Caucus of Michigan in the context of the 2010 Michigan Secretary of State Republican Primary or this year's republican U. S. Senate primary.  However, a couple of days ago I received an e-mail from a key member of the organization's leadership that indicated that they'd be getting involved in one of this year's convention races.

You may remember that the normal iCaucus vetting window runs around four to six weeks.  So, for the May 19th MIGOP State Convention that's not going to be enough lead time.  However, the statewide iCaucus leadership did want to weigh in on the National Committeeman race, especially given that a previous endorsee is one of the participants in it.  So, since an actual endorsement isn't going to be possible, statewide leadership apparently got together and decided on a non-binding recommendation instead:

For immediate release to all Michigan iCaucus affiliate groups...

    Notice to all iCaucus members:

The iCaucus of Michigan encourages all of our members and especially those that are Precinct Delegates in the republican party to support Representative David Agema in his bid to become the National Committeeman of the state republican party.

Dave was an iCaucus endorsed candidate in 2010.  He is a true constitutional conservative and has supported our principles both in word and deed.  It is because of his strong commitment to these principles, and his willingness to maintain them in the face of opposition, that have proven he is the best representative we could have to establish these principles into the highest levels of the republican party.

To show support for Dave send an e-mail to:  agemafornc@gmail.com.

Our Support of Representative Agema is consistent with # 7 of our Michigan iCaucus 8 "First Steps" of political action.  To learn more about Michigan iCaucus go to: www.ic1776.org.

This is now somewhere in the immediate vicinity of a dozen and a half tea party or related groups that I'm aware of that have jumped behind Dave Agema as groups (as opposed to endorsements by individuals).
