Native Agenda 21By JGillman, Section News
I have marveled over the last few years at how often during Republican events and affairs, I would run across a certain Derek Bailey.
Who is Derek Bailey, you ask? He is the current tribal chair of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians. Purveyors of environmental activism in the region, supporters of Democrat causes everywhere, and proprietors of the Traverse Bay Resort and Casinos. His ability to move in an 'nonpartisan' manner through all manner of fundraisers for local politicians will undoubtedly reap untold benefits in his new venture. Mr Bailey is running for congress in the first congressional district as a Democrat.
Truly he is a Democrat, touting the napehair raising 99 percent hogwash: "And what I learned -- and what I believe today -- is that now more than ever, we must stand up for equity for America's worker, the 99 percent, not wealth for the top one percent of corporate CEOs."And reminding us that our public education system is riddled with the fomenters of such madness. Mr Bailey faces a challenger August 7, 2nd timer Gary McDowell who lost to Dan Benishek easily in 2010. McDowell will not have the help he received from the Democrats this time around however, and Bailey, while presenting a mild version of liberalism on his campaign site, carries another agenda entirely. 21 of them in fact. ~ Below the fold. ~
First off, we should recognize that Michigan's 1st Congressional district is quite large.
Even more so under the new apportionment. In fact roughly 550 miles from the furthest point to the other using the best route. 32 Counties occupying a heck of a lot of square miles with great spaces between. That space BTW, harbors great resources, oil, natural gas, timber, minerals, and wildlife. All of it accessible to a minor degree, but that accessibility is being disrupted in ways that have more to do with Bailey's purpose than one might think. Bailey has shown strong commitment in the past, to the "Grand Vision", a utopian progressive step utilizing the goals of United Nation's Agenda 21, and promising the theft by prohibition through restrictive planning and repatriation of private development to nature. The tribe locally, has provided funding and seed resources for the destruction of three dams, in the hopes that it will provide a basis for 1500 other removals in Michigan. This of course to return the "rivers to their original state." Our 100 year old impoundments being drained, fishing resources wrecked, lost property values, hundreds of drying up wells, and lost wetland habitat notwithstanding, a goal of restoration to nature is said to be a good thing, and make our region more sustainable. But what of the remainder of the state? It seems to tie in pretty tightly with something else going on. In the last year, the Obama administration has been tightening the noose around the necks of energy producers, and in particular, those which use coal and fossil fuels. EPA requirements have been enacted that are so stringent, current measuring ability cannot verify compliance. One of the coal plants at risk, is a certain Marquette plant. And while this particular operation faces certain removal, the other part of the equation is the river reborn idea that is not limited to our region in northern lower Michigan. As I have said, this is being used as a template for the removal of 1500 dams throughout the state. Many of them with hydro electric potential or capability. Many of them in the Upper Peninsula. And as Dams are deemed to be a nuisance and obstructions to fish habitat, they will fall, one by one. As Electrical generation becomes prohibitively expensive, what alternatives are left?
Abandonment. And eventual success of what is known as "The Wildlands Project". The "Values" of The Wildlands Project The map below will give you an idea of what happens when human settlement fades from most of Michigan's first district. (Note our little corner is all red)
Prohibitively expensive areas to live in, will provide a great resource and ultimate win for those who seek a biodiversity highway. And such an agenda born of the "first nations" not only spread across the upper peninsula of Michigan, but in other areas as well begins to take hold. Derek Bailey's trip to Oregon, seeking money from the other end of the "corridor" is relatively unnoticed.. yet. The Republican National committee has recognized the danger of Agenda 21 only recently. Its been more than 20 years in the making, and the efforts are being accelerated as we wake up and see what has happened around us. And as much as many good folks have been suckered into supporting the anti-American values which drive the UN A21, there are others who know damned well what they are doing. Does Derek Bailey?
