So, who do they interview about "divisive groups"?  None other than rabble-rouser, Linda Kajma.

Linda Kajma stood on a chair with a beer in her hand, exultant in Daniels' apparent ouster.

"I've lived in the city for 38 years. Don't mess with my city," she said. Speaking figuratively to Daniels, she added: "You can put on your red hat and get on the next train out of Troy."

Yeaaaah.  Nothing like having a Romney supporter aiding the misfit Lefty Big Spenders.  Put on your ushanka, Linda, and stay in Troy.

Troy city gov't (just like any layer of gov't), has its own little cliques that form to do things.

The group that pushed for the recall, really did it because they got p.o.'d over fact their little group of not-ready-for-primetime-players lost the last mayoral election in Troy.

They didn't take to kindly to that perceived "slight".

The transit center vote, Facebook flap and etc. were just red herrings for voters in order to get one of their own back in power.

Watch the last ten seconds of the clip. Troy CC is interviewing residents for the now open council seat (see Troy City Charter Sec 6.7).

Now, take a wild guess as to which drum Bluhm and Bittner march to, when they made their call?

Just whom do you think CC would've tapped on for that now coveted seat?

    An "outsider"?

    Yeah, right!

With the decision now taken out of their hands (and a $100,000 tab to the voters of Troy to stroke their overinflated collective egos), I'd love to see Janice Daniels run for her old seat.

I sure that the voters would love to see campaign pieces highlighting the spending habits of the group trying to maintain power.

    Well . . . (none / 0) (#2)

. . . the question would then be whether or not Janice Daniels can legally run for the Mayoral election in November.  I mean, the city council has voted to fill the seat, so that may mean that Daniels won't be running to fill the vacancy (a clear violation of the law), but rather will be challenging a sitting incumbent.

Would love to hear from the AG on this one.
