While I work on some background information, I thought I would touch base with those of you who hide the computer for the weekends.  I really have a bit of a major writing project coming up that will put our new found conservative majority's will to a test.  To do so, I still need to hear from a bunch of you.

Catch your Michigan State Rep or Michigan State Senator during their local office hours, and ask them whether they are For neutral or against RTW.

As I mentioned in another post,I want to know who we will be beating over the head with TRUE conservative love going forward.

Right now, I have a small request.

Call (Or Email, Write) your Michigan State Representative, AND your Michigan State Senator.  Ask them if they support Right-To Work, Are Neutral, Oppose it, or 'other'.  Calling may be the quickest way, and the assistants, and legislative aides often have their positions available.  Be sure to offer your support for the record too!  Of course be courteous if they disagree, but do not be afraid to strongly assert your position of support for FULL RTW legislation (no Zones)for Michigan.  Let them know they could be heroes rather than zeroes.

THEN email me the results to: This particular email account  I want to get an idea of who in Lansing is willing to put the state's welfare over a perceived political hot button issue.

The emails I have received so far, show the left as unrepentant and out of touch as always, but Republicans overall are a mix of support and uncertainty. Unfortunately, it seems there are some Reps who are "not certain its the right time."

"When would be the right time?" I would have to ask.  Under what circumstance would the stars be so aligned, that the squishy souls of our REPUBLICANs in power are willing to step out from their protective cages?

Some folks might think that we have been tough on RINOS before in this forum. They should be told succinctly, [cue BTO music here] "you ain't seen have seen nothing yet."

After we have identified those who are too afraid of their own lobbying shadows, we will makes sure their core voters are aware that they no longer represent them.  some already take us for granted. In fact some are being told to ignore tea party types.  That it was a fluke.  "Tea party types are more and more powerless."

To which I say ask "Bob Bennett."

"The political atmosphere obviously has been toxic and it's very clear that some of the votes that I have cast have added to the toxic environment," an emotional Bennett told reporters, choking back tears.

Toxic? Perhaps cleansing would be more appropriate.  At the very least it is just evidence that those folks in Utah were hungry for what they had asked for for so many years.

"Uh waiter, I ordered filet mignon, and you brought me catfish? and fries??"

I suppose even at the end, Bennett remained unrepentant and was joined by Charlie Crist as proof that "times they are a changing."

But Bennett, like Crist, and in the primary Murkowski of Alaska wound up in the belly of the coiled up snake they stepped on with their poor understanding of the principles which made this country so great. Murkowski escaped with the taint only so familiar to those on the left. (She passed all the way through undigested)

Locally, Michigan's leadership is at times equally ignorant, and still has some lessons to learn.  But better it would be, to see the credit they could earn.

Get them to commit folks.  Email me what they are saying and we will bring this thing together.

There is, and will be no better time to put RTW on the dinner plate for Michigan.

Rep. Pettalia R-106 and Sen. Moolenaar R-36 emailed for their position on RTW.
