    Side Splitting Stabenow..

    Or something.

As expected, the media, leftist politicians, and anyone else who has a complete and total disconnect from what is cause and effect, made a connection between the Arizona murderer and free speech.  Except they do not call it free speech.  It is 'hate' speech.  And this 'hate' speech apparently only emanates from the right side of the political spectrum. A few glaring examples of Right wing hate speech are highlighted over at The Blog Prof's site:

Dick Cheney Should Die: "He is an enemy of the country, in my opinion. Dick Cheney is an enemy of the country....Lord, take him to the Promised Land, will you? See, I don't even wish the guy goes to Hell, I just want to get him the hell out of here." (Ed Schultz)

Rush Limbaugh Should Die: "I'm waiting for the day when I pick up the newspaper or click on the Internet and find that he's choked to death on his own throat fat, or a great big wad of saliva or something, whatever. Go away, Limbaugh, you make me sick." (Mike Malloy)

oh wait.. that wasn't the right wingers.. my bad.

But don't let anything like that dissuade our junior senator Debbie Stabenow from joining the chorus of those who (as usual) have it all backward.  Her insipid qualities in a less threatening role as a US senator would be giggle producing. Certainly a few laughs could be had when one exclaims "I can feel global warming when I fly.." I mean.. THAT is outright funny!

    ~ more below ~

But not in the hands of someone who has the power to take from you, simply to correct that particular non existent issue.  Its not funny when your freedom to communicate your expressions of distrust, might be metered by the hands of someone who is so incredibly out of touch with reality in the first place.  In fact, its outright SCARY to have someone like that, who wields decision making power, in a place that can bring all the tyranny of government upon you.  And her recent comments ought to send chills down the neck of folks, who do indeed have opinions, and express them.

Especially when she repeats the mantra adopted by her Democrat brethren:

"What I'm hopeful for that if people involved in hate speech will think twice now. It's totally appropriate to have strong feelings on both sides of every issue, but words matter and when someone who is unstable hears those words, they risk inciting someone,"

Seemingly innocuous.  Of course she is entitled to that opinion. But to imply that "those involved in hate speech" were responsible for the actions of a killer before KNOWING the motivations, puts her ideology on par with that of the Sheriff who couldn't keep his mouth shut during his own investigation.

The great disconnect has fully matured.

Where it hits the road, becomes an attempt at passing fairness doctrines, further gun control legislation, and the creation of thought police.

It also may fully complete the completely unfunny bastardizing of the 1st amendment.  Where political opinion is no longer protected, yet extreme gore laden depictions of death in cinema are.  Where a previous 'objection' to unnatural human interaction becomes a forced acceptance to lewd acts and art in the public domain. Where a peaceful application of Christianity becomes forbidden with a banning of nativity in public places, yet the foot washing of another religion that has a more recent history of extreme violence becomes publicly funded.

What is up.. is down.  The earth's polarity must surely be about to reverse.

I can only laugh for a short time.

Indeed as my sides are splitting from the hilarity that IS Michigan's sitting junior senator, it is followed by a stream of tears for the truth and acceptance of real responsibility that is becoming more difficult to defend.

Put her out to pasture next election cycle.  As a matter of fact, let's "surveyor mark" her!

And I will work my ass off to make you our next senator from Michigan!

Let's not forget, either, that Debbie's hooker-purchasing hubby used to be the head of the laughable, failed Air America.  That's why Debbie has pushed so hard for the Fairness Doctrine that would provide 'equal' air time for lefties. Nevermind that lefty programming continues to fail miserably in the competitive market.
If a radio program does not garner listeners, and their sponsors drop off, then an owner should be free to broadcast the programs that will earn him/her a more positive financial outlook.

...call it the NPR Doctrine or the Juan Williams Doctrine already.

Been saying it for years that when the Socialists in Office drop that boot of government down that it'd squash the left, one of them first, and the 'teachable moment' of Williams proved it true.

Good luck with silencing the majority, of which, just happens to be on the Right side of the spectrum.  It just ain't gonna happen.

These techniques have been working for a long time. Many have had a tendency to go along with the flow of least resistance and whatever seems the greatest personal gain; selfishly disregarding truth and consequences.

Dingell nuts spouting off - directly blaming Palin and he says he "knows" exactly what happened!!!

Hmmm I don't recall Dingell being in the crowd in Arizona.

I can't laugh at either of these a$$wipes because I am so pissed that they walk amongst us and spout whatever the Westboro Liberal Media and this administration tells them to.

I've been reasonably civil in the discourse that has taken place since the tragedy in Arizona.  Good grief, even before that its been weeks since I called one of these opportunistic children of illegitimacy an opportunistic child of illegitimacy. (See how nicely I phrased that?)

All the recent calls to end the incivility of political debate are silly to the point of ridiculousness.

Let us not forget why so many raised voices became raised in the past couple of years.  Health care reform was unpopular with the electorate when it was jammed through congress over protests of the American people.  Why?  Because politicians know better.  What about producing more of our own domestic energy?  Most Americans want to...they won't allow it because politicians know better.  What about cap and trade?  We don't want it.  So, what do the buffoons in the administration do but try an end around of the checks and balances written into the constitution.  They know better.  On and on it goes.

If Congress and the President refuse to listen to the people, what are the people supposed to do...take up guns?  I don't think that is a very popular solution.

And yet, despite all the shrill screechings coming from the left, incivility had no more to do with this shooting than did the burning and itching of athlete's foot.  If sheriff Dipstick of Pima County had begun his tirade by blaming it all on the purveyance of woeful podiatric hygiene, would our fearless leader have led yesterday's memorial pep rally with calming prose yearning for an America with clean socks?

How did this horrifying incident become a pulpit for the president to lecture all of us to tone down our rhetoric?  First of all, had all of the victims even made it into the ER before this sheriff cretin was blaming the shooting on me and you and everyone else in the tea party?  How long did it take before his groundless charges were joined by a chorus of other clueless progressives using the tragedy as a way to blame conservatives?

But, once most of the charges were disproven, (in fact, once we found out this murderer was a leftist and enthralled with atheism, communism, fascism, devil worship, dream interpretation, and nihilism) we were all equally admonished, both left and right, for our uncivil tones.  Hey...I didn't cause any of the problem and neither did any other conservative--why should we be treated with some undeserved moral equivalency?  Even in hockey where fisticuffs break out all of the time they have an instigator penalty.

Not in politics.  No, in politics we conservatives must be lied about and trashed in the most vile of terms, but when we respond all debate must be toned down for its ugliness.

While I believe that the sheriff blathered his initial yammering idiocy in as good of faith as an impulsive and guilt ridden yammering idiot possible could, those that piled on even days after the sheriff's libels had been disproven did so for reasons of opportunity--they believe (and rightly so) that if they can use these events to enact legislation that weakens the first and second amendments they will be one step closer to protecting the socialist legislation they have already put in place over the electorate's objections.

It is my job as a conservative to let them know that I'm not falling for any of their crap.  Sorry if I didn't say it kindly enough.
