    Schuette Draws Dem Attacks Early

A little insight to what is happening in the left right debate in the state of Michigan.

No one can argue the successes of Bill Schuette in realizing a lead of opinion early on for the republican AG nod. For the Record, I have not endorsed Schuette, nor is this an endorsement.

However, like our socialist counter parts, the Michigan Democrat party, I recognize Schuette is the guy to beat in the selection process, (he is carrying well over 100 law enforcement head endorsements currently) and frankly he is expected to make it to the November ballot easily.  The Dems knowing this however, have had to dig really deep to find anything negative to attack the would be candidate before the selection is made.  They would hope to skewer his bid in the short run so their candidate David Leyton has less trouble with the formidable Schuette organization.

So they have decided to lay out some cash for ads..

The ads are funny.(at least without the context of the gulf disaster being very real)  In fact I giggled at the overblown oil towers spread throughout the you tube version.  you can see the ad here.

    They are also irrelevant.
AG's don't vote, but what the hey, the vote in question was not for drilling IN the lakes but rather under it... From shore.  There is a difference.  And unless they are concerned that Schuette is seeking the governorship in 2018, and wanted to provide a narrative for such an event, they likely poured money down their union installed toilets.

Schuette's response to the ad is here

But no matter.. It was an early attempt to shed SOME negative spin to a guy who has plenty of Michigan public service history, but with little bad news to be found they spin a disaster to where it supposedly has something to do with Schuette.

Same playbook, same plays..  Different days.  Lies, Deceipt, relying on the vapidity of their very own constituency perhaps?

Some say the Michigan Republican party has been noticeably quiet on the issue.  But in all fairness they are doing exactly what they should do.  RAISING MONEY for the big fight down the road.  To defend Schuette now would be placing an endorsement which they cannot do.

My Assessment?  Laugh at the ad, (it is really corny)Pity the folks who are actually swayed by it, and support your favorite conservative candidate for AG. And Then, think about gearing up the pocket book for the MI Republican party for the November fight.  In November we need to BEAT DOWN the Democrats and their leftist shenanigans back to the stone-age.  Then, we need to hold our [conservative] Republican winner's feet to the fire and pray to God they don't turn into that which they oppose now.

    Conservative (none / 0) (#1)

candidates of late are rather like the fabled unicorns; a really neat idea if they actually existed.  Seems like every time you pay your two bits to see one at a circus, the darn horn was stuck on with two faced tape.  No Unicorn after all that trouble.

Mr. Schuette has the appearence of this elusive character however like many other sightings of Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster, still unsubstantiated.

I am looking elsewhere of late for a conservative AG candidate and the elsewhere is a republican Libertarian out of St. Joseph Michigan.   It worked very well for Rand Paul and if this gentleman is half of what they say, I believe we have found an actual conservative, no tape.

Oh, and pray to God is upper case.
