NFIB Joins Cox, and other states in lawsuit.. and moreBy JGillman, Section News
Perhaps not exactly in the same suit, but in a way that keeps the disaster known as health care reform in the spotlight. The National Federation of Independent Business is going to court:
The National Federation of Independent Business will join the argument that Americans cannot be required under the Constitution to obtain insurance coverage, the group's president, Dan Danner, said Friday. This of course is the main premise of AG Cox's lawsuit where he and another 20 states have sued the fed on the basis of this law's unconstitutional foundation.
But here is the real Kicker..
This is merely the lawsuit part of the activity surrounding the health care mandate. What is being missed by many in the media, and perhaps even some of the progressive politicians, is that the bill passed with not a single Republican vote. Not a single Republican agreed with the Democrats in congress of the Senate or the president. Even Hoekstra didn't vote vote this monstrosity. The Dems don't see it.. They don't get it. Progressives here in Michigan and abroad now face not only the backlash demonstrated by tea party activists, but now business owners with an organization and network. If you are a Democrat and believe in conservative government, you might want to pay attention. If you believe in traditional values, and the constitution, you better get a hold of your party. Nationally, the Leftist bent has taken the Democrat train off the rails. And the accumulation of groups which oppose all of the radical "change" being rammed down our throats by this unrepresentative government will have its most fatal effects on the careers of Democrat politicians. The turn is too sharp for the speed of the train, and there are sure to be many casualties.
