    Stupak to Retire?

Kim Priestap links to this MSNBC snippet:
With just a few days to go before the end of this recess, House Democrats are cautiously optimistic that they could get through it without a single retirement announcement. That said, there is still a concern that some important incumbents in districts that they are uniquely suited could call it quits. At the top of the concern list this week: Michigan Democrat Bart Stupak. The Democrat best known this year as the Democrat who delivered the winning margin of votes for the president's health-care reform bill is said to be simply exhausted. The criticism he received -- first from the left, and then from the right -- has worn him and his family out. And if he had to make the decision now, he'd probably NOT run. As of this writing, a bunch of senior Democrats (many of the same ones who twisted his arm on the health care vote) are trying to talk him into running. The filing deadline in Michigan is still a month away, but veterans of that state's politics are skeptical anyone other than Stupak can hold that district in this political climate.
    Thoughts?

Bart has held the seat pretty solidly, but even one his closest friends has told me its not looking good.  A reply to a "Hey whats the deal with that vote.."  got an "I was screwed " and nothing further response.

Not sure why he sold out, but that is going to be the end of his career.. even this "close friend" doubts his re-electability.

Bart is an attorney anyhow.. so no matter, he will survive.

A key media arm of the Democrat party. This is about Bart Stupak, who was for abortion before he was against it before he was for it, etc.? A month to go before filings?

Is this possibly a ploy to cool the anger? There are Tea Parties scheduled beginning tomorrow in his district. What better way to take the wind out of the Tea Party sails, float a rumor that you're not going to run.

This is Bart Stupak, is he trustworthy?

Or become just another one of the 157 Commie Lib members of the House of Ill Repute that will be forceably retired by the voters in Novemeber. I would suggest that they all get together and start a nice retirement community in a place that just has to be their ideal utopian vacation spot. Go to Cuba. Just think. Playing shuffle board with Fidel every day. He is retired too afterall. Maybe catching up on old times with Robert Vesco. Watching the buildings collapse in downtown Havana. Much to do in sunny Cuba. And just think of that great Cuban health care. The place absolutely has everything a Progressive Commie Lib could love. Especially the lack of Freedom.

In the mid-sixties the Progressive Libs gave us Medicare to get the vote of the retirees and the senior citizens. Later in the sixites they gave us Medicaid to get the votes of the parasite class. Now with the new Socialist health care bill be have death panels and government funded abortions. To kill off the senior citizens and the prevent a surge in the birth rate. I guess we can logically call this new gift from the Progressive Left Medickill.
