There appears to be confusion regarding my previous post about New Jersey's Governor Chris Christie.

The paragraph about my current employment situation was not meant to be a complaint.  I was only using it to show the discrepancy between the looting world of Government and the real, productive world.

I love my job and the company I work for. (FYI: The company is not based in Michigan.)

When I leave a company and go to a new one, I make sure I'm happy with the compensation package I negotiate at the beginning.  I operate on the assumption that I am not entitled to any increase and will not receive any.

Further I am fully aware that the contract between the two parties, me and the company, can be terminated at anytime for any reason with neither party owing the other anything.

Nick, or other moderator, if this is not an appropriate forum for this post, forgive me.  I just didn't want to give people the impression that I was a whiny, Looter with and megalomaniacal sense of entitlement.

    Sorry for the confusion.

    God help us!

No confusion here.  I agree with you 100%.  I have never worked for a union company and never will.  Like you, I am very happy with my employer because he has the over all picture covered in this economy.  And the reality is that recovery in Michigan will not take hold for another 5 years.  If he can wait that out by making cuts and saving every penny he can he may still have a company in five years.

If that means I don't get an increase in wages so be it.  I love this company and I love my work.  We have cut back on what we do and buy to compensate. We are not depending on tax increases to subsidize our wages.
