Because the constitution means nothing to Democrats.  At least not today's Democrats, that far leftist power seeking arm of foreign interest and control.  The governor of Michigan has indeed sided with that part of society that holds no allegiance to our protections, nor to the intent of the founders that the citizens of this country are truly free.  Jennifer Granholm shows her hand clearly as one who would prefer the type of governance under the firm hand of Mao, Pol Pot, or Stalin.  

Indeed the constitution means NOTHING to our governor.  Even though it is the LAW, and it is the only thing that protects us from a government out of control.  Without it, we are subject to the whim of any particular bureaucratic tyrant of any particular level.  That is where she would like us.

I use the names of communist leaders who murdered their own people for effect, but make no mistake I do not present them lightly.  Only a COMMUNIST country allows the use of force to control your actions, whom you would hire, what products you buy, or the persons you associate with.  Only Fascist types of governments hold interest in real property as business, and control through fiat, entire segments of economies.  And only those of a despotic complicit nature would request interference from the very government which we are presenting our grievance against.  Only the most absurd elitist attitude considers our defense against such things as contrary to our wishes.

Granholm.. resign now.  Leave this country and return to Canada.  Hide your hideous face in shame, for you are not worthy of carrying the title of US citizen.  Your words are filled with a contempt for all this country stands for, and your current, and merely temporary position of power, you abuse for your own Marxist agenda.

I challenge you Governor Jennifer Granholm, to explain under what provision of the constitution, the federal government has the authority to direct us as citizens of Michigan, to purchase under threat of penalty an insurance policy... of any type.  You cannot do so, it is impossible.

And because I realize you are only part of the problem, I challenge ANY Democrat to explain in what way HCR act is even remotely constitutional, much less good legislation. I refuse it.  It is not law, as it is blatantly unconstitutional.  It is something that only the WORST of those who call themselves Democrats want. It is the end of the constitution if it stands.  It is the supreme law.  And without the constitution, our bond is broke.  We cannot have that.

So what now?
