Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

Maybe the Nerd King's Dingell Contributions Could Help

    After all...

We all know cash is king... Or maybe better stated, "FOR Kings.."  Contributions to the coffers of political despots often encourages their favors, and the green is the grease of the political wheels.  And Dingell, as well as Snyder got plenty of grease to go around.

Fact of life..  Bring the king a gift for his pleasure and thou shalt have his dispensation.

Snyder loves kings..  In fact he might well fancy himself the "Nerd King" in waiting..  Working his own royal treasury from the peasants, that consummate power player, Rick Snyder must have gifted well enough over time to warrant the investment of $7.5 Million in taxpayer funds to his own business venture; Ardesta.

    More below the fold....

A September 2007 Crains article reported:

Two of the state's most successful venture capitalists, Rick Snyder and Chris Rizik, have started a new Ann Arbor-based VC fund that will invest in nanotechnology, life-science and alternative-energy companies in the Midwest.

The new fund will be called Ardesta Ventures I.

A vote last week by the board of the Michigan Strategic Fund approving an investment of up to $7.5 million in the fund finally made official what has been something of an ill-kept secret in the local venture-capital community.

Its how the game is played right?  Pay for more pay.. or play..  And in this case Snyder knew the players quite well.  The rules may well have had his signature all over them, as he was at one time, the first chair of the political favors unit.  Who better to know the rules than the guy who wrote them?  And if you know who to wine and dine that doesn't hurt the case..

    Success.. thy name is "knowledge.."

So Rick must have "known" how to play the political favors game quite well, and also played it from the dark side reaching across the aisle to pad Mr Dingell's campaign coffers as well.  Indeed at some point, this savvy businessman must surely have expected to run into Dingell's interference and paid the price up front for a seat at the table.  Perhaps a "paltry" couple of thousand dollars to the venture capitalist who was able to take taxpayer dollars for his own ventures, but certainly enough for the salt of the earth John Dingell to take notice.

So the question we must ask now MR. Snyder..  Will you use your favor to have Dingell vote against this monstrosity that is called "health care reform?"  Will you use you your dispensation of wealth to encourage the congressman to join others, who (even in his own party) disagree with the manner in which this albatross of epic proportions is being hung round our necks?

Maybe you might.. Except perhaps YOU would like federal funding for Abortion as well?

Indeed, as the bells toll for the unborn, your very own investments and the taxpayer funds given to you already mandate that end for our children, do they not?  What becomes of those embryos now "legally" dissected in the facilities bought with your "venture" dollars?

Life Sciences research and experimentation investments by Ardesta in Michigan subsidized by taxpayers...

And now he wants to reign in that nasty ol monstrosity known as the MEDC?

"It's gotten out of control," he said in an interview. "There should be very limited use of tax incentives."

Limited?  Maybe only Hypocrites need apply?  Maybe only those who know how to game the system should try?

But I digress.. we were talking about Dingell..

A challenge to Mr. Snyder.  Step up to the plate, and find a way to game the man you have helped keep in office. Those hefty donations to the long time hard left Democrat should count for something.. right?

I'm going to have to learn a lot more about our Nerd Governor wannabe before I would ever vote for the guy.

Unfortunately for Snyder, the more I learn the less enthralled I am.
