While we might not yet rest easy, it should be noted that the Republicans did as well a job as could have been expected.  In fact, demonstrated they were prepared for the meeting in a way that showed the country that there are other alternatives to a top down take over of our health care decisions.  A fine performance indeed.

Congratulations to our (Michigan) Representative Dave Camp, and the excellent performance of the GOP leader Boehner, Ryan and company.

Please don't think it is done however.  If you think the arrogance of the left which was on display in full living color streamed over the TV and on line will settle for a drubbing as a reward for their pitiful poetry reading of the victims of real life, you might think again.  The smell of complete control over a 5th of the economy is a political aphrodisiac of inordinate measure.

    It makes them HOT.

So much so, that we should expect them to Kamikaze.. and soon.  As Obama stated at the conclusion of yesterday's event:

"And if we can't," he added, "I think we've got to go ahead and some make decisions, and then that's what elections are for. "

To the nearly 40 lawmakers in the room with him, the message was unmistakable.

"Frankly, I was discouraged by the outcome," said Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. "I do not believe there will be any Republican support for this 2,700-page bill."

Democratic leaders -- who preside over majorities in both chambers-- were having none of that.

"It's time to do something, and we're going to do it," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada.

Throughout the conference it was clear that there was never any intent to back down from the bill proposed in the senate.  It was further clear that the sitting representation on the left in the form of Democrats was not at all impressed with the manner of preparation the Republicans had made.  Certainly having a tragic story upended by logic is truly unacceptable in the emotionally driven vacuum of psychopathy. (extreme egocentricity, failure to learn from experience, etc.) Indeed they cannot see beyond the drivel, to measure the effect their efforts have on the rest of us.

So in the usual manner, the Democratic insects of the political world seek out their November destiny in a form that is more fitting to how a Mantis is willing to satisfy his mating lust.  So what.. its only their heads.

    This will be (none / 0) (#1)

This will be interesting!  Do the Democrats vote for this and risk losing their seat or do they vote what is good for their constituents?  I personally think many will fall on the sword for Nancy and Harry and end up with some sort of cushy job offer they will dole out to them after the November elections.  Those that vote against it to save their jobs should be voted out anyway because of their tone deafness and the way they have treated the American public's wishes.

What I fear is that this horrendous legislation cannot be rescinded.  I would hope that some very smart and conservative lawyers (as much as I disdain the profession) could file suit on behalf of the American people to put a stop to this non-sense.
