A few observations about the Lt. Governors address. at the 1:00 mark he states: "Democrats know that heath care is is a right, not just a privilege. IT'S JUST COMMON SENSE!" Unless Democrats are reading a different Constitution, it not in there.
Lt. Governor, denial is not just a river in Egypt . At the 3:29 mark the Lt. Governor actually says: "It's true we did didn't create this mess, but we are sure as hell are going to clean it up." I'm not sure what he is talking about. He was an integral member of a State administration that has manged to keep Michigan in a recession for 6 years. And, only the most optimistic forecasts project that Michigan will exit the recession in 2010. That means Democrats in general, and John Cherry and Jennifer Granholm in particular, will have held the State of Michigan in a recession for their entire eight year term. As the old saying goes "even a blind squirrel finds a nut". If eight years is not enough to come up with some form of a plan to pull Michigan out of a nose dive, I don't think he will figure it out in another four. If Lt. Governor was talking about the national economy, he's still in denial. Stretch Pelosi and her Democrat brethren took Congress over in 2006. In case the Lt. Governor forgot, congress is in control of taxes and spending. Sorry, Lt. Governor. Facts are stubborn things.
