Following in the pattern set in the sweatheart deal given by democratic prosecutor Kym Worthy in the disgraced former democratic Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's perjury case, democratic Macomb County Prosecutor Eric J. Smith's office has agreed to a similar deal for this disgraced former democratic Eastpointe City Councilperson (Wow! Those are a lot of democrats).

Instead of looking at a 4-year/$50,000 fine for filing a false insurance claim regarding a snowmobile trailer that never existed in the first place (the Macomb County's Prosecutor's Office apparently feels that insurance fraud is no longer a serious offense since no money was ever paid out...but fails to mention that little caveat on their own webpage), democratic Macomb County Prosecutor Eric J. Smith's office has agreed to a plea-bargain that drops the felony insurance fraud charge (4-yrs/$50,000), in exchange for a no-contest plea for filing a false report.

Oh yeah, and as part of the agreement, he can't serve in public office while on probation

Disgraced democrat Selvidge will be sentenced by democratic Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Mark Switalski on June 21st.
