    Getting back in town and catching up on my reading, I enjoyed reading about the prima donna state rep and the lush posing as a county commissioner, but this one takes the cake.

    What happens when you take a local democrat who runs on a strong law and order platform...

    Who was the chairman of the committee to promote a "public safety" millage in Eastpointe.

    Who gained the endorsement of the local police union during the last election.

    Who was so much of a publicity hound, that he frequently wrote in letters praising the work of the local police.

    Well, take a good look at the mug shot below.

    Yes, the charming individual that you see above is former Eastpointe City Councilman Ron Selvidge, who resigned several days ago after a police report and insurance claim that he filed regarding a stolen trailer caught the attention of the very same MATS people cited above.

    Now, I figured that the Democrats in Michigan will let the power go to their heads and self-destruct well before the 2010 elections...but this early???

    I'd hate to see who self-destructs next...
