Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

Not the same... But still not too bad.

You know, this is a unique place.

There are a number of varying opinions even within the Center-Right and conservative community. RightMichigan.com started Nearly 3 years ago as an alternative media site for conservative values and perhaps a touch of reality..

Nick put a lot into the site and posted daily as well as having other voices in the mix.  Some respectful others not so much perhaps, but generally understood around here was the premise that our state has been getting ground into the turf through electoral generations of Democrats who are more beholding to union and "progressive" interests than those of the citizens of Michigan as a whole.

Of course as we all know.. Nick's conspicuous absence leaves the regular postings that we had come to enjoy a little sparse.

Just so he knows.. We're OK here..  Not the same of course, but getting along.  I hope things are working out well with the new responsibilities he has.

There are just a few folks who can edit to the front, delete the occasional spammer based articles and try to keep a balance. Some of us even get to automatically front page our own propaganda, and even promote our own blogs! Whoo hoo!

A lot of fun.. and coming into the next election cycle a lot of responsibility.

There is no doubt that I have some influence in how things are presented here, but have no doubts that I know this isn't MichiganTaxes.com II.  The Prof knows it for his work, Rogue knows it and anyone else who has the ability to top load their work here.  This is still Nick's gig.  And because he has assumed a responsible role of being silent in this format while working for a high profile candidate, doesn't mean he is paying attention any less.

Consider a recent development you have seen with the Mac Center "sphere" appearing daily.  There is a commitment that is being met, that I had to consider carefully before front paging as a daily.  I cannot know for sure that it is the format the imitable Nick DeLeeuw wanted, but I recognized it is GREAT Michigan discussion material, and would complement the few other permanent writers for a more full content.

We have seen increased postings from some other bloggers, and the resulting conversations have been both vigorous, and enlightening.  Some have even inspired me to advance them forward either from an agreeable point, or even one where I thought it would spark some interest.

Maybe its not the same, but its going decently, and it is as necessary as ever.  Your posts are welcome.  Your input and feedback right now is VERY important as we move into what will likely be one of the most important "off" election years in our lifetime.

It's true that the blog has changed since Nick's departure.  But I think that's more reflective of the national change happening with conservatives.  Where the Right had been stagnant, there is now dynamic movement.  It's been very interesting to watch.

As a centrist Democrat, I've quit commenting because I'm don't feel drawn to this new brand of conservatism and don't want my comments to come off as snarky or combative.  You're doing a fine job with Right Michigan, Mr. Gillman.  I'll continue to be a daily lurker and may comment on future pro-Life or Second Amendment threads.

As for Nick, it's a pleasure to hear him on the radio taking up the legacy of Frank Kelly by using public resources to pursue evil free market pharmacists who are charging more for Tamiflu than a competitor down the street.  I always knew that kid had some leftie in him.
