    Remember Chris Arndt

My name is a Christopher Joshua Arndt, and few call me that.

I have been a contributor, technically, for a few months here, and literally I have been lax in making contributions.  Nominally I would take the time and opportunity here to introduce myself properly, or work out a video blog.  Perhaps I should do both.

I will likely do that in a few weeks, because a proper introduction of myself as a writer and blogger is irrelevant to the other points, interests, and things that matter.

The immediate point at hand is in this August 3rd article from the Lansing State Journal.

I am running for Township Trustee for Oneida Township.

I am running for Township Trustee for Oneida Township.  There are only five candidates: me and the four Republican incumbents.  I am running as a Republican.  The only election is tomorrow.  The only election that counts for my seat is the Primary.

I honestly doubt that many of my intended constituents have the time or interest in weblogs and I would love to be wrong.  My own weblog could use the increase in readership.  I am a political activist and have been active in many parts of our own state, and in three other states.  I am endeavoring to become more involved in my own community rather than merely a continued observer of state and national politics and I will need and desire suggestions and ideas.

As important as it is that Oneida Township registered voters vote for me, as well as three other individuals, it is important that you who are not of my Township who know voters in my township, persuade them or remind them to vote for me.

That is the simple message.  Vote for me and spread the word.  I am a part-time student and cannot afford a time- or money-intensive campaign.  I do this and a few other measures for this campaign; success in this is not make-or-break for my life, but my success in this, I think, is good for Conservative and Conservatism.  I believe that political office, higher or lower, is nothing more or less than stewardship of public funds and resources.  An elected official cares for and controls something that is not his, and not only does he act on behalf of the public good, but he answers to them.  This I realize.

I do not care for being a bystander.  As a trustee I would not be a bystander, but an actor.
