Update [2008-8-1 14:29:36 by Nick]: RedState is reporting that Congressmen Hoekstra and Tim Walberg are on the House floor participating in the continuing debate as well. As they say in my hood... props, gentlemen. Mad props.

We know the Democrats have voted to adjourn Congress without allowing a vote to allow off-shore drilling.  They gave themselves a month-long paid vacation and left town.

Well, Congressional Republicans aren't giving up without a fight.

They are STILL on the House Floor even though the Democrats have shut off the mics, turned out the lights and sent the police to physically remove the media.  They're looking for a bullhorn and they refuse to walk away from the debate.

AWESOME political theatre.
