THE CIRCUS CONTINUES, REV. WRONG CAMPAIGNS FOR MICHIGAN?By Chazwald, Section News
No, Sen. Barack "H." Obama was not in Michigan Sunday and neither was Senator Hillary Clinton. Reverend Wright was, however, but I am confused as to which campaign he is employed by. As the NAACP's keynote speaker, Reverend Wright was amusing; edification was lacking.
Barack Obama can not seem to ditch the dope as the saga continues. In his statement, Wright explains Obama is not distancing himself from Wright's [devisive] teachings but rather the "media looped" snippets that are taken "out of contex." You have most unquestionably heard Wright's controversial assertions within the preceding few weeks but I deem it obligatory to once again share one of his comments for further scrutiny. One such contention touted by Reverend Jeremiah Wright in a 2003 sermon:
As a Christian I not only fail to see the doctrinal messages in Wright's articulations but also fail to see how such a statement could be put into context. How can a Christian and especially a leader of the flock say God d*** America? Truthfully, Rev. Wright's statements are contradictory to what the Scripture teaches. In Romans 13:6-7, the Apostle Paul's analysis on government was a positive one. Paul expressed that the government is a God-given instrument for the sponsorship of good and a restraint of evil. Furthermore, in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 Paul reprimands that we pray for our government leaders. Wright's condemnation seems to be opposite to what Paul proposed.
Wright's aforementioned statements have been damaging Obama's campaign for some time and it does not look as though the thorn will be removed anytime soon. And what harms Obama's campaign, generally helps Hillary Clinton in her battle for the presidency. The drama between the two campaigns seems to be dividing the Democratic Party. In fact, Howard Dean has been urging both Hillary and Barack to end the political circus and decide who of the two should drop out of the race by June. As elite leftist Obama has not stepped foot in the Great Lakes state for nearly 300 days, I wonder if Reverend Wright's actions of entertaining Michiganians with worthless notions have hurt Obama's appearance here even more so, chiefly among the blue collar workers that he needs to reach? Michiganders and Floridian democratic voters are still being ignored by the DNC and though Reverend Wright has visited Michigan more often than Obama, he has certainly not helped out the political chaos among democrats. I, nonetheless, will sit back and enjoy watching the Donkeys parade around. And as I conclude, I find it fitting to leave you with a "pearl of wisdom" on the Obama/Wright controversy from Rush Limbaugh:
