"My comment about "not knowing Jack yet during MCRI" only referred to the fact that I joined the campaign after Jack had resigned as co-chair. Granted, Jack only served as co-chair for a brief period with Leon, and Leon deserves the credit for serving as chairman.

But all Jack's literature says is that "he served as co-chair of the inititative that led to Prop. 2". That's true. Jen Gratz and Leon went WAY beyond clarifying the facts, they are trying to trash Jack Brandenburg for purely political reasons.

Leon is the one that suggested that I contact Jack for some help when I became Macomb County Chairman. He said that "even though Jack was no longer serving as co-chair, he was still a supporter and would help the effort".

My comment to Jen Gratz only referred to the fact that I "did not know Jack yet" when I joined MCRI.

The twisting of my words by people who want to hurt Jack is just Leon and Jen's attempt to make me look like a liar to get Leon elected to ANOTHER GOVERNMENT JOB , when I'm not lying.
I met Jack while I was Macomb County Chairman of MCRI and he helped me behind the scenes. I don't know what happened between him and Jen before I joined the campaign. But although Leon does deserve the credit for serving as co-Chair/Chairman from start-to-finish,
The fact remains that Jack did serve for a period of time as co-chair with his House colleague and "former" friend, Leon.
Now Leon has forgotten Jack's involvement."
