      I think by far the most important races to watch are the governor's office and the Legislature. Economy. Economy. Economy. We need candidates who are prepared to cast tough votes in favor of rationalizing the size and scope of government and reducing taxes on companies so as to encourage job development in our state. We've seen 40 years of "economic nondevelopment" policies where bureaucrats pick winners and losers. It's time we stopped trying to swim upstream and made some serious reforms that put Michigan on the map.
