      I disagree on how we go about selling them and how we go about building the coalition that is needed to win elections. Ideally, we would have three or four political parties that would better separate the various ideologies, as both major political parties are essentially coalitions. You have racial minorities (Jesse Jackson and those types), secular progressives (Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama), environmentalists (Greenpeace, Sierra Club), homosexuals (though a large number curiously vote Republican because of fiscal issues), and labor unions in the Democratic Party and social conservatives (people who only vote Republican because they agree with a candidate's stance on certain social issues), paleoconservatives (a dying breed -- think Pat Buchanan), business interests (Club for Growth, Chamber of Commerce types -- even Rick Snyder), libertarians (Ron Paul), and neoconservatives (George W. Bush, Bill Kristol) in the Republican Party.
