      You CAN'T take the wedge issues out of the equation.  They exist.  

      Just saying.  

      Don't really disagree with much else that's being said... though when it comes to Mike Nofs v. Marty Griffin there isn't even a choice.  It's Ronald Reagan's old "percentage" rule.  And since Griffin and I agree about two percent of the time...

      I can see what your saying, On some issues there is no difference at all, between the two parties.
      but, you really only have two choices. Green Party, ect.. just don't have the money, media, like the two big parties that is needed to win. Some of the smaller parties may have some great ideas, I myself, would consider supporting a Nationalist Party. but, why support something that ain't got a chance of winning.

      You mention freedom and wedge issues, and I think there is a clear difference, like this

      If there is even just one issue, the GOP runs on, that you like better, it is worth it to support the Republicans. I think they have several real good issues.
