This was the "Citizens for Michigan" proposal for wanting a constitutional convention which wants to, among other things, eliminate the safeguards against property tax increases. I had a back and forth with Dennis Lennox over the merits of a con/con, and used Citizens for Michigan as a reason why I do not support it. Fiscal and social issues alike. The "Center for Michigan" is a left-leaning think tank which is a counterpart to the Mackinac Center. It was also started by Phil Power. Rick Snyder is tied to this group as is Joe Schwarz, Jack Lessenberry, and that crowd.
