    Well, we said thanks Dick but not this time. Granholm has a vision!
    So why did we pass over DeVos...I'm trying to remember.

    Who is "We", Kemosabe?  I'm interested to know, because I nor the people I keep company with passed on DeVos.

    Anyway, politely I ask, could you live on nothing for X number of years? After all, isn't that what the governor is very close to doing to us?
    When you run for the power to be in office, shouldn't your goals be the good of the state, not the good of your pocket book?  That's not the same principle for being a citizen of the state - one does not "run" and become "elected" to be a citizen.  One runs for the power and prestige (and apparently, the paycheck) to be an elected politician.

    It makes no difference to me how Granholm would live sans her 170k salary.  She spends millions of dollars to get elected, I'm sure she can find a way to get by without her salary.

    Nice idea though...makes one wonder what are the motivations
