    My relative who works in Lansing had a meeting yesterday about what to do if/when there's a shutdown.  He's in charge of updating a state website and has to implement a special cancellation page that will automatically load on Monday.  

    Nobody is being told ANYTHING.  No news on if their benefits will be suspended during the shutdown, if they'll recoup their pay (probably not), etc.

    I don't know about anyone else, but I find the MSM's focus on no hard liquor, no casinos and no lottery tickets pretty shallow versus important matters like child protective services.  This should stop all payments to private agencies too.
