"just give them a pill" or something like that.
Medical device manufacturer Stryker of Kalamazoo layoff of 1000 workers is because of Obamacare according to the Weekly Standard: " Late last week a Stryker spokesperson told me that Obamacare will cost the company fully 20 percent of its total research and development investments."Huh. But but Rick? What might you think about it? " I don't think it's the right answer. However, it is the law of the land, and the real question is: What can we do to make it a positive for Michigan?"Oh right. Positive. Just suck it up and play nice while the nice man in the whitehouse showers our Great Lakes State with golden raindrops. Video below the fold. From the guy whose company would go to the ends of the earth for its people to hire them for 10% the cost of Michigan workers, now does so as your elected Governerd. Also, as Republican Michigander notes, Mexico, too. Highlighted on Rick Michigan's list of fellow crony MEDC travelers is Nexteer. Nexteer?!?! AYFKM! By Corinthian Scales, Section News
An interesting piece happened to turn up on Roll Call regarding the number of former SoS entering U.S. Senate races.
"We may have decent name ID, but it's weak brand ID. That was something I discovered when I ran," Grayson continued. "Despite the higher profile, it's not like it's a natural pivot into the next statewide race. And I think sometimes that puts us in a bit of a tough spot, because there's this perception that maybe we're stronger candidates than we really are." So, one has to ask, exactly what has Terri Lynn Land done other than hold a ho-hum title? I mean besides running an abject failure 2010 campaign with this twice failed anti-2A dope that split the Party just enough to allow Rick Michigan's nose under the tent. Did a 2014 Senate candidate Terri Lynn Land lead a charge against Obamacare expansion in Michigan, known as Snydercaid? Nope. If you believe so, please, provide a link showing anywhere she did. It's not like Terri, and her hubby don't have the coin and didn't have the time to bird dog the Nerd bus crisscrossing the state when JenniRick embarked on his Tour de Harassment. Bottom line. Where the Hell is Terri Lynn Land?!?!

Replacing Snyder is preferred.
An iCaucus commissioned poll of Republican delegates is revealing the rift between the progressive left governor and the base of the Republican party in Michigan. Respondents have to this point said Rick needs to go, and well beyond the margin of error. Should Governor Rick Snyder face a primary challenger in 2014? Preliminary and unofficial results currently show a 46.79% Replace Snyder preference to a 37.93% Keep Snyder Preference, with a 15.29% unsure percentage. Margin of error currently +/-3.87% with 650 respondents with 95% confidence. The polling also ranks a number of possible contenders in head to head ratings. The names of will be revealed on Saturday, currently showing one possibility polling stronger differentially than the generic count against the governor, and others within the margin of error, and others losing to him. The need to replace Brian Calley is not quite as clear. 38.84 % support replacing the LT Governor, while 35.32% do not, and a heavy 25.84% remain unsure. This falls within the margin of error, and cannot be seen as a mandate. Watch for weekend updates. (1 comment) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
A vote for Medicaid expansion is a vote for Obamacare.
Today is expected to be a day where a vote could take place on HB4714. Today is the day where Republican senators around the state can throw sand in the eyes of those who entrusted them with power in 2010. The revolution which started in 2010 against the very thing for which they might vote.
The question to ask forever more is "how might someone actually call themselves Republican, or think they wear ANY badge of integrity by voting to grow government and expand dependency on it?" In 1996 Republicans in the US congress showed the executive branch the way by reducing dependency through 'workfare' and inserting SOME personal responsibility. Go for it. See what it truly gets you. This is a sorta fun development for Conservatives watching what the Snyder administration has placed into its own lap. Remember what Terry Stanton (same office of Amy Hichez) stated about our Treasury Dept., just yesterday?
"Any personal issues he is working through have not, in any way, affected his performance as State Treasurer." Pure Bee-esS. Meet current Treasury Department "Executive Assistant," and former Dillon House staffer ($56,000.00), Amy U. Hichez.
State Treasurer Andy Dillon's secretary sued his ex-wife for defamation Wednesday for claiming she had an affair with her boss. Indeed. What further defamation is possible with those who sit in government with Andy and his buddy, Miles Handy? Yet, much like Hillary Clinton, and Huma Abedin, the slovenly attired self-invented Nerd persona is going to stand by his man. Frillant move for the Executive branch of state government that is the flagship of the MI-GOP. That down-ticket vote for "Team R" will suffer in 2014. That is just a 'No boundaries' Rick Michigan, enabling - fact. (1 comment) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Germans have the coolest words for such things involving the Rick Snyder experiment. For example, take the self-invented Nerd persona's selection for state Treasurer.
Pure Schadenfreude.
Dillon has acknowledged a bout with alcoholism while being the governor's point man for handling financially distressed cities and school districts. Again, zero transparency from Rick Snyder. Sure Dave Murray, we little people "believe" you too. Just try boozing as a "point man" in the Private Sector, and see how long it takes to be shown the door. And, this is a so-called Executive's decision? Amazing. Fact remains that Rick Snyder owns that appointment, and isn't man enough to deal with his can of worms - but, he'll have to before long. There's more...
"Treasurer Dillon is in the office and on the job every day, working diligently as always for the people of the State of Michigan," spokesman Terry Stanton said in an email. "Any personal issues he is working through have not, in any way, affected his performance as State Treasurer." 12 years of taxpayer funded professional turd polishing just can't be wrong, yes? Survey says...
A Wayne County Family Court judge has issued a mutual restraining order against Dillon and his ex-wife after they filed competing personal protection orders against each other. D'oh! Really. Who could've foreseen the years of dysfunction that Andy Dillon, would bring to an alleged Republican administration? Hmmm, I wonder... Told ya. You're getting warmer, Ross. However, that jail for no one will be gobbled up by Dan Gilbert for pennies on the dollar. And, you've got a whole gaggle of MI-GOP bootlickers who watched Rakolta line his pockets, main one being, the State AG. Next question would reasonably be, what did the wife of former State AG (Commissioner Laura Cox) know, and when did she know it? (1 comment) Comments >>
