    Yah, kinda sad to watch those UAW workers in Saginasty clinging on for temporary crumbs from Beijing.

    Had some dealings at that plant about a year ago.  What a royal pain in the ass that was.  It'll be Local 699 that kills off the jobs there and China will be a temporary employer unless Lansing intervenes again.  Mark my words.

    A year ago, the Michigan Economic Development Corp.'s Michigan Economic Growth Authority approved a state tax credit valued at $70.7 million over 10 years to encourage Nexteer to expand in Michigan over competing sites in Europe and China...

    In turn, Buena Vista Township approved a 20-year, 100 percent tax abatement, meaning the company will not pay township taxes for 20 years on any equipment it brings in starting this year.

    Yep, taxpayers take it in the wallet for union employment again.  But, I'm sure those little red ChiCom flags and egg rolls were classy. {rolling eyes}
