  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

Adequately portraying the nation's mob boss, godfather, a 'blinky' Virg Bernero went on the Glenn Beck program tonight defending the NLRB decision to fight Boeing's new $2 Billion SC facility. According to  Bernero and others it is an attempt to lower wages, as "the company makes record profits."

Eric Bolling, filling in for Beck tonight introduced the Lansing mayor Bernero as his "dear friend" before crushing the standard socialist fare with an observation about what Bernero is doing to deal with a deficit in Lansing.  Bernero ackowledged the tax increase he had asked for was turned down by the taxpayers, and that he must lower wages.

    by golly..  no, really?

Mike Cox lays out the reasons for backing Arizona..

I love the line about a "healthy tension" between states and the federal govt... YES.

The idea that he is using these issues to advance the campaign is understandable, but given the severe need for the measures in the first place it is a good thing.. altruistic or not.  Fact is, if he did not pursue Asian Carp, The Health care debacle, or assert sovereignty on the states right issues of protecting our borders, he would be called to the carpet for not doing his job by some.

We have been fortunate to have Mike Cox as our AG.  I hope his replacement is as active in protecting the interest of Michiganders.

Bill O'Reilly's new column this week analyzes why the left-wing media has been taking a hit in light of President Obama's recent troubles with the economy.  Since you wouldn't normally have a chance to read this in your local paper (unless you live in Alpena, Escanaba, Marquette, or Mount Clemons), I thought I'd cross-post it here.  Bill does a great job of explaining why traditional newspaper and broadcast television outlets are struggling, and why places like RightMichigan are doing well.
