    Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    And now the sword falls...

    "I want to make sure this is truly bipartisan," said Richardville, who added the bill isn't dead and would be reviewed by a summer work group.

    {Continued after the fold}

    Suffering from an apparently incurable malady known as "tone-deafness", Michigan Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville signaled that he will be taking up the tacit approval of Obamacare, a.k.a. HB-4714, in the coming weeks.

    Even if the "Majority of the majority" isn't there, he indicated his willingness to go forward anyway on this week's "Off the Record".

    If the Michigan Senate Schedule is to be believed, we're looking at something on either August 27th or 28th.

    There are others session dates scheduled before those dates, but according to the fine print on the schedule, no voting is to be taken on those dates.

    Despite strong evidence of the impending disaster that will be unfolding under Obabacare, our "Republican" Governor is undergoing a whistle-stop tour across Michigan, with stage props in tow, imploring Michiganians to contact their State Senators and get them to support this quagmire.

    There have been a number of well-written posts so far on this bill, along with projected vote outcomes. For those who haven't done so already, scroll down or use the search link at the right to review them.

    My personal observation on this bill hasn't changed from earlier: The "delay" that we have all seen several days ago was nothing but a feign, intended to divert our attention away from the real issue. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain while the guv's enforcers do some serious political arm-twisting behind the scenes in order to achieve the required number of votes for passage.

    The fat lady hasn't sung yet.

    The Senate is on "vacation" (read: working in their home districts).

    If you haven't already done so, I would highly recommend contacting, or better yet, paying a personal visit to your elected official and let them know how you feel about this. With the Fourth almost upon us, they really shouldn't that hard to find at any local events.

    A few things to keep in mind:

    Be civil.

    Be polite.

    But most importantly, also be perfectly clear that any vote in support this bill, is also an implicit show of support for Obamacare. Something that most elected officials had ran on the promise of opposing.

    The clock is now ticking...
