It's not the norm for me to take work off. However, I'm glad that I took it off this past Wednesday.

To say that I had a good time conversing and rallying with like minded people would be an understatement. It was a blast.

It was also my first time opening carrying.

Although legal (except in the criminal empowerment zones - which the law seems to indicate would go away once I get my CPL), I had generally never thought about it. My concern was always that I would be an initial target should some chump decide to start trouble.

However, after conversing with Phillip Hofmeister, and walking around, it dawned on me.

Making your firearm visible is the loudest way of saying "Don't f*ck with me" without actually saying a word.

Really not sure where I was going with this. Just like taking time off work, it's not normal of me to post something with out an actual end statement in mind. However I figured I should post something.

I've also subsequently put $30 towards a Michigan Open Carry membership.

I think I'll be open carrying more.
