This is an issue where we have some long memories. Back in 2004, Walt North ran for state rep in a 58% Bush district. As a state senator, he was the deciding vote with an anti-hunting measure. His record was otherwise good, but that was a big vote.

He got an F by the NRA in 2004 and lost election to an A rated and endorsed democrat. McDowell.

There has been periodic spikes in gun grabbing support from time to time, but the general trend is against gun grabbing. It's a sure ticket to a primary or general election loss.

a conversation with my son-in-law and I am now the proud owner of a gun. Took two lessons from him when visiting in Texas and will continue my education upon receipt of my new gun. Then on to CCP classes.
