    Macomb County Clerk Sabaugh

Hello, I'm Macomb County Clerk Carmella Sabaugh. And I approve of voter fraud.

And the hits just keep on coming.

    {Details below the fold}

Fervently adhering to the progressive/democratic meme that filling out a box somehow suppresses voting, Macomb County Clerk Carmella Sabaugh announced on Monday that she will directly disobey Secretary of State Ruth Johnson and use ballot application forms that do not require voters to verify their citizenship according to The Macomb Daily.

Mrs. Sabaugh said, "I am concerned this will cause confusion in November like it did in August, by adding one more hurdle for citizens, and will make a trip to the polls even slower."

Okay, let me stop things here.

    I vote in Macomb County.

    Voter "confusion" in Macomb County???

For County Clerk Sabaugh to even insinuate that bogus lie, is flat-out insulting to the people who volunteer to work at the polls.

With the notable exception of a large mass of people showing up from God-knows where to vote en masse for the false prophet in 2008, the precinct numbers are lucky to go above 25% during an election.

And even with that exception, I have always dealt with very professional and competent election workers when voting. Once I am at the table, waiting to have my ballot handed to me is never a problem. I have all of my ID at the ready. I know who and what is on the ballot. And the workers already recognize me, so things go smoothly. Even when a republican poll challenger was about to look busy, get up and waste my time, the election workers didn't flinch (the poll challenger quickly sat down after she saw the NRA card in my wallet). The longest it ever took me was something like five minutes to get my ballot, and that was because I spent four of them talking to the people about other things.

Hurdles? Confusion? Slow trip through line?

Sorry, I have no idea where she's getting her info from, but that I've never heard of it happening in Macomb County.

The interesting thing here is that County Clerk Sabaugh has stood up in the past against immigration fraud. Why she has had an apparent change of heart and wants to give people who are here illegally a free pass when voting is beyond me.

Fortunately, the recalcitrant clerk's actions in regards to voting in Macomb County have not gone unnoticed.

When informed of County Clerk Sabaugh's decision, Gisgie Gendreau, spokeswoman for the Michigan Department of State said,"...the secretary has the authority to prescribe the use of such forms."

When pressed about what will happen, she continued, "That's unfortunate. We will be communicating with (Sabaugh)."

Fortunately, the law is on her side.

    Specifically, MCL 168.31 (b) & (e)

"(b) Advise and direct local election officials as to the proper methods of conducting elections."

"(e) Prescribe and require uniform forms, notices, and supplies the secretary of state considers advisable for use in the conduct of elections and registrations."

True Believers may recall that Governor Snyder went on record supporting voting fraud back in July when he went out of his way to veto H.B. 5061 and S.B. 803 claiming that he, "...appreciates the issue of ensuring voters are eligible and U.S. citizens, however this legislation could create voter confusion among absentee voters."

So, according to Mrs. Sabaugh (and Gov. Snyder's) logic, this:

    2012 August Primary Sample ballot

Is far easier to comprehend, than this:

    US Citizenship question

    Ummmm, yeah.

True Believers may also have noticed that the frequency of these "charges" has increased since S.o.S. Johnson has announced requiring this form. Especially from "non-partisan" groups like the Michigan Election Coalition which is in reality an umbrella group for organizations like:

    -    The Fair Elections Legal Network. Supported by the SEIU and the Tides Foundation.

    -    Project Vote. Which has worked in conjunction with ACORN on voter registration drives.

    -    Common Cause. Led by the likes of Robert Reich and Patricia Schroeder. And,

    -    Progress Michigan. "We work year round to challenge conservative propaganda in the media and make sure that progressive perspectives are heard," is in their own mission statement.

Things are bound to get more interesting in the weeks leading up to the November Election.

    Stay tuned...
