Speaking of that great stalwart of energy Frederico Uptonogoodio ..

Mr I-want-to give-more-money-to-A123, proudly defended the Keystone XL pipeline in the new Highway Bill.  At least he suggests it will happen after November:

"Congress approved a new highway bill today without a Keystone XL pipeline provision championed by Congressman Fred Upton.

    ...

"They've done a good job in the last three-plus years of slowing us down," Upton said in an interview with MLive/Kalamazoo from the House floor before the vote. "It will probably take a change in November to see the project go forward."

    A change indeed.

And perhaps as a reward for such courage, the change might include an even more local element than the resident of 1600 Pennsylvania avenue alone.

    It's Fred Upton's SOP (none / 0) (#1)

Really, after a quarter of a century of folks listening to the dumbsh!t Fred tells them like, "It was never my goal for Washington to decide what type of light bulbs Americans should use," then to follow up on the same problem he created with his moonbat Democrat friend, Fred did not even cosponsor HR 2417 to repeal his Big Government dictatorial intrusion.  Oh, hell no!  Fred couldn't possibly suffer further loss of street creds with the moonbats on his team that got his career started by cosponsoring the repeal.  RINO.

The repeal was a useless vote, Fred knew that, and Fred used that platform of repeal to weasel his way into his coveted chair seat not much differently than seniority power plays made from union members fighting over who gets to be shop steward.

How long does it take folks in CD-6 to take a hint that they're being played as fools by Fred.

    How f#@%ing long...

    Let's see (none / 0) (#2)

It was the Little Washing Machine King that joined with the Earth Firster's to give away the farm on incandescent light bulbs. And I believe he voted for other Tree Hugger legislation over a too long career. Fred is like a weather vain. He blows in whatever direction the wind is blowing. When the CLP's were in power the first two years of Dear Leaders regime, Freddy boy was more then happy to go along with the crowd. Now that he is backed into a corner he is putting on his "I am a Conservative first" Halloween costume to make sure he is going to get another term. Thankfully I will be in a new Congressional District as of January. So I won't have to be embarassed to admit that such a Putz is my Congresscritter. If the folks are smart they will dump Freddy this time around. Jack is a better bet and will be an asset rather then a detriment for the people of the district. Freddy needs to take up the rocking chair and leave the heavy lifting to the more able.
