Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    Snyders Test

A D+ at best on his veto of SB59

Not a fail. The governor acknowledged a concern expressed by some schools:

"Snyder had urged that SB 59 be modified to more significantly restrict pistols in those zones by prohibiting open-carry in such places, in exchange for allowing only concealed pistols to be carried if license holders receive additional training - subject to the right of the property owners to prohibit concealed carrying if they desire. Under the bill as passed, only private venues can opt out, as can college universities with constitutional autonomy.

"While we must vigilantly protect the rights of law-abiding firearm owners, we also must ensure the right of designated public entities to exercise their best discretion in matters of safety and security," he said. "These public venues need clear legal authority to ban firearms on their premises if they see fit to do so."

I disagree, we could at least have found out how well it works the first time someone decided to break the law and NOT GET STOPPED by an otherwise law abiding CPL licensee in a posted gun free school.  Someone who has already demonstrated a respect for the law cannot carry into a place where the treasures to protect are the greatest?

Nope.  Maybe not a failed test, but a weak response, akin to steering into a skid; guaranteeing a wipe out at some point. Instead of giving the school workers options to arm themselves in the event of an invasion, they remain vulnerable to the attacks like those in Aurora and Newtown where a single bullet could have ended the carnage early. Snyder says

"This type of violence often leaves society with more questions than answers. The reasons for such appalling acts usually are numerous and complex. With that in mind, we must consider legislation like SB 59 in a holistic manner. While the bill's goal is to help prevent needless violence, Michigan will be better served if we view it through a variety of lenses. A thoughtful review that examines issues such as school emergency policies, disenfranchised youth and mental health services may lead to more answers and better safeguards."
Yeah, because so much of that has worked so well in the past.  Because the administration of the Newtown school were more than happy to ask Mr. Lanza if he had mommy issues, and perhaps he would like to talk about it. Perhaps maybe if there could have been safe boxes to hide in?

I would guess that before the lights went out, at least ONE of those in the front office wish they had a way in which to deal with the insanity that was unfolding in front of them. At least one of them armed, would have at least had the potential to change the dynamics in a way to turn the little SOB around, if for no other reason than unexpected resistance. Its understandable why the guv went the way he did, but its getting old, and the disrespect for life being bred into our violently over-gamed, trained killers is getting too dangerous to ignore.

Having the possibility of properly trained defenders is the best way to ensure maximum safety and civil society in our most sensitive areas.

For the printing of signs to place outside of those "Gun Free Zones". They should read "Fish in a Barrel" I think the idea was to allow trained persons to carry in these areas in order to be able to intercede should an incident like Sandy Hook occurr. And don't give me that crap about trained meaning cops. I know alot of cops and most of them can't hit squat with a pistol.

like Columbine or Sandy Hook should, God forbid, occur in Michigan, Snyder will have blood on his hands.

I'm a conspiracy theorist and proud of it. People ridicule of me if you wish but I woke up about five years ago and will no longer be the willing, ignorant, stooge of the criminals that occupy D.C. and most state capitals.  I am no longer willing to believe mindless prattle spewing from the mouths of pathological liars; morally corrupt, spiritually bankrupt parasites who riot in my blood and chase me to the ends of the earth.

I am no longer willing to politely agree to disagree with evil parasites, incapable of any productive endeavor, scheming to take my God given rights and implement their God-less utopia.
If want to infringe on my God given rights, "Go from me in peace. I ask not your councils or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands that feed you.  May your chains sit lightly upon you and posterity forget ye were my countrymen." -Sam Adams

Snyder will reap what he sows.

"The power of the sword, say the minority..., is in the hands of Congress. My friends and countrymen, it is not so, for The powers of the sword are in the hands of the yeomanry of America from sixteen to sixty. The militia of these free commonwealths, entitled and accustomed to their arms, when compared with any possible army, must be tremendous and irresistible. Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress has no power to disarm the militia. Their swords and every terrible implement of the soldier are the birthright of Americans. The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments but where, I trust in God, it will always remain, in the hands of the people." -Tench Coxe

The Dums were loath to arm pilots. Instead they just wanted to make the doors to the cockpits stronger. They never did think about the bomb in the shoe, the bomb in the crotch or other things like the passangers being slaughtered to the point that when the airliner did land it would be nothing but a flying hearse. People need to wake the hell up. Abortion feeds the culture of death that the Liberal State has foisted upon America. They talk about all the innocents that were killed in Sandy Hook yet we kill hundreds of thousands of innocents each year in the abortion mills that the Left has gifted to America. I guess it just depends to the left which works best for them. It is obvious that the Poser has decided to follow Tiny Dancers advice and never let a crisis go to waste. Take a good look at Chicago and how well gun abolition works. The mayor Rahm Emanuel has decided to deal with the gang bangers by telling them to make sure they just shoot each other rather then innocent by standers. Typical of the left. They can choose what to ignore while using other things to impose their sick perverted political adgenda on America. The ultimate goal of the Poser is clear. To enslave whites as payback for all the terrible this that the US has done.
Can anyone answer this question? How many children, innocents all, have been killed by Barack Obama ordered kill missions on terrorists in the middle east? Anyone? Anyone? Maybe gun owner Harry Reid or gun owner Diane Fienstien can answer the question.

Was there ever any doubt the Crony-statist hailing from Ann Arbor, prefers sanctioning governmental zones prohibiting means for defense of Life?  Progressives grow government as the end-all-be-all solution for everything.

Am curious... how many notice a huge discrepancy from just in this month's pressers?

20    Snyder approves tax, regulatory reforms to drive Michigan's economic comeback
20    Snyder signs bills to create fair, consistent recall process
19    Snyder signs bills to help veterans get electrician, plumbing licenses
18    Snyder vetoes concealed pistol bill, OKs process to streamline purchases
14    Snyder signs bill to extend MPSERS decision deadline
13    Snyder names Richardson chairman of Natural Resources Commission
13    Snyder makes appointments to Ski Area Safety Board
11    New laws to help create more, better jobs by allowing choice on union membership
10    Snyder celebrates Detroit Diesel expansion
04    Snyder makes appointments to Board of Veterinary Medicine
04    Snyder forms Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention and Treatment Board, makes appointments

It should be historic moment obvious to most that the hermaphrodite of the Party loathes guns.  Especially, when they are figuratively held to his cowardly head.
