The Official Way To Make Your Voice Heard ..

    ".. in our government."

A Big change is coming to government!

    Neato.

By golly, it appears the constitution matters again to the miscreant denizens of the white house. Those guys have all of a sudden realized that "we the people" are looking at the constitution and have a little better understanding of the document that protects us from them.  I would fully expect that all those petitions demanding an end to the unconstitutional health care mandate, will now be heard.  Certainly, when energy prices are starting peak, the white house will respond positively to petitions that suggest we allow more drilling and use of our natural resources.  In fact they will probably call the petitioners up directly and congratulate them on their successful participation in the constitutional process.

    Or not.

"The official way to have your voice heard in our government"

Think about that statement for a second.  If this will be the official way, then apparently the other methods are no longer necessary or adequate.  The smiling faces to the right will certainly vote for the petitions they like as indicated with another wonderful gem:

"If your petition is among the most popular, a group of white house policy officials, like this good looking bunch, will review it, make sure it gets to the right people in the Obama administration, and craft an official response."

This country is being run by children. In fact, it appears they are soliciting petitions from children as well:
Anyone 13 or older can create or sign a petition on WhiteHouse.gov asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country.

Aside from the dismissal of all those who spoke against the kind of change this chump in charge was pushing, the utter disregard for the protections afforded us by the founding documents has been clear.  This is not at all addressing our grievances but merely an attempt to once again use a catch phrase that might be more acceptable to those of us who truly believe there is meaning in consent of the governed.  The catch phrase "we the people" is still sadly abused by those who have no interest in its real meaning, its intent, or its warning to those who stray from the constitutional foundation.

And the guys on the left wall have done nothing to address that.

to my comment on the Two Penny Jenny duo for this thread.  I cannot risk being banned from here due to nasty, salty, filthy language that I would like to use to describe my disdain for this bunch of illiterates in our nation's capitol.

    "White House Policy Officials"?!?

These punks don't even look old enough to shave, and now they are suddenly "experts" on the issues?

You know what? For grins and giggles, I think that we should adopt their idea...and use it against them.

    Government servers and phone lines
were taxed during the debt ceiling debate.

I'll be honest, I have absolutely no idea on how to coordinate this on a national level, but we should see about organizing a set date to crash the White House servers with traffic oppossing Obamacare.

Thursday, September 8th sounds like a good date to start?

Yannow, this nation is just gottdamned disgusting anymore.  The 26th needs to be repealed too.  There is no conscription in this country since Nixon and the Gates Commission caved to the yippie crowd in '73.

And no, I certainly don't believe that any of the weenies on the left wall will do anything about it.

    Obamacare (none / 0) (#5)

Poll after poll indicated that a majority of Americans hated Obamacare.

If only those people polled had issued a petition!  That would have stopped Obamacare in its tracks.  Seriously, the administration simply didn't know that Americans didn't want it.  How could they have known, they don't pay any attention to polling data, and besides, there were unions, Muslims, environmentalists, socialists and academia to appease.  They've been busy! busy! busy!

We screwed up by not making our doubts known officially. Shame on us.
