Heading out to catch some of the early events going on.  Bambi get off the road, I don't brake for anything except breakfast.

There will be no shortage of activists in the state's capitol today.  Multiple gatherings, and a High Noon rally are calling!

FYI it was noted that a number of public employees called in sick to attend yesterday's leftypalooza.  If so, it drives home the disregard for their service to the taxpayers of this state.  It drives home the need to consider a total ban on public sector unions that not only allow, but frankly encourage such irresponsible management of our trust.

    Gotta go.  See you there!!

    on my lunch hour.

Also, it is being reported that the $38 billion budget deal actually only equals $352 million in cuts.  Here is a quote I found over at MM from one of the commenters:

Unlike many, Obama didn't vow to go to Washington to change it. He's a pure Leftist ideologue who vowed to go to Washington to change America. And despite the headlines, he's been and remains busy doing it while the GOP looks like a cross between the Keystone Cops and a bad Vegas lounge act. Speaker Boehner can shake hands, or emote and tear over his lifestory and rise to power all he wants; it isn't going to stop Obama from beating him up, taking his lunch money and pulling his underwear up around his ears just for laughs.

I really do think it is time for the Tea Party to start a third party.  Those that we elected are not listening and not doing what they were sent to Lansing and Washington for.

    A third Party? (none / 0) (#2)

Nah... as much as I am disappointed with my Rep. Dan Benishek voting for this crap, a third Party would at best serve to weaken good freshman Republican's like Amash.  But, Michigan TEA Partyers have much more to do with reining in it's congresscritter's ineffectual representation.

    How they voted?

    Yeas
    Benishek, Dan, CD-1
    Camp, Dave, CD-4
    Dingell, John D., CD-15
    Kildee, Dale, CD-5
    Levin, Sander, CD-12
    Peters, Gary, CD-9
    Rogers, Mike, CD-8
    Upton, Fred, CD-6
    Walberg, Tim, CD-7

    Nays
    Amash, Justin, CD-3
    Clarke, Hansen, CD-13
    Conyers Jr., John, CD-14
    Huizenga, Bill, CD-2
    McCotter, Thaddeus, CD-11
    Miller, Candice, CD-10

I suspect the last two named on the Nay list voted the way they did because of a rather public spanking they received not long ago.

Ah yes, many more emails and phone calls I see in my future...

The Benishek vote has me pissed.  I had a sign for him sitting in my lawn.  A wasted vote.

I didn't know his name two years ago and I hope to have forgotten it in another two.
