Capitol Confidential looks at three separate races in Michigan.  Two of them for congressional seats, and the other a state senate seat. The focus primarily on news makers.

    The 2nd congressional district

    The 6th Congressional District

The 11th District State Senate seat

    IMO?

Leon Drolet is one of the hardest working advocates of responsible government out there.  the state would be a far worse place without his efforts and influence.

Jack Hoogendyk's voting record in the state legislature speaks for itself. I think it is impossible to find a more taxpayer friendly, constitutionally friendly, and uncorruptable legislator in the country.

Not knowing the candidates running for Hoekstra's seat I have no opinion..  Perhaps someone else might?

    6th Congressional District race. (none / 0) (#1)

For a variety of reasons I have choosen to back Jack Hoogendyk for Congress. Having quized him on his stand on the issues I find that he is in near total agreement with my views. On taxes, state sovereignty, the Medickill bill repeal and other issues I feel Jack will represent my views better then the current holder of that seat, Mr Upton. As time goes by I find myself more in conflict then agreement with Mr. Upton's views. I fully believe he has gone a bit to far to the left and is unreliable when it comes to the tough issues and decisions that will have to be made to right the ship of state. While I appreciate Mr/ Upton's service to the people of the 6th District I feel he has been in the District of Corruption to long and is willing to do what is politically expiedient rather then what is right. I am backing Hoogendyk for Congress.
