Running for Michigan's 1st Congressional District seat, Dr. Dan Benishek (R - Crystal Falls), today, filed his petitions to be placed on the ballot for the Republican primary on August 3rd.
    "I'm grateful for the support of so many of so many friends in Northern Michigan, who have signed on to my campaign, and who have signed my petitions to place my name on the ballot for Congress. Change is coming to Washington , DC," Benishek said.
    Since Rep. Bart Stupak's vote on heath care, Benishek has received support across the country from people who appreciate his common sense approach to politics.
