Well, with about two hours notice, approximately 50 people attended the official kick off to the petition drive to exempt Michigan from Obamacare.

Michigan State Representative Tom McMillin and Common Sense in Government President Wendy Day spoke to local reporters along with supporters about the kickoff of the petition drive to put Obamacare in check here in Michigan.

Modeled after the language of a bill that is languishing in the Michigan House and also currently being circulated in Arizona, the petition will place on the fall ballot the opportunity for Michigan Residents to have the final word on whether or not they want to be constrained by  Obamacare in Michigan.

To get on the ballot, 381,000 valid signatures will need to be collected and submitted by July 5th.

The petition language is awaiting final legal review before petitions will be ready to be circulated, which is anticipated to be within a few days.
