Michigan Unions Want To Take Your Voice Away..

It seems the unions don't want anyone to have an opinion, or affect public policy if it keeps them from being firmly in control as our masters.  The use of government by big labor to move forward policy is hardly any breaking news, but recent power grabs in the health care, banking and major manufacturing industries are an end game policy.  A policy which many Americans have stood up against particularly in 2009 with literally THOUSANDS of protests and townhall meetings.

The union leaders are hell bent on maintaining the power base which they have managed, even in the midst of declining membership in commercial enterprise.  Government membership however is becoming more diseased all the time.  As government jobs increase so does the membership in the very unions which have tried so very hard to mute the voices in America that are contrary to the re distributive schemes of our administration both here and national.  The tea party folks being only the first targets.

Pay close attention and read on..

Recent reporting reveals the Anti Tea Party website "the tea party is over" is a creation of 527 group "money laundering" of union funds.  Fox news reports theteapartyisover.org, a site which proclaims the tea parties are no longer relevant:

"A Web site popped up in January dedicated to preventing the tea party's "radical" and "dangerous" ideas from "gaining legislative traction," targeting GOP candidates in Illinois for the firing squad."This movement is a fad," proclaims TheTeaPartyIsOver.org, which was established by the American Public Policy Center (APPC), a D.C.-based campaign shop that few people have ever heard of."

As it turns out, the very same unions which hold our (Michigan)  state government hostage, are the ones funding the site through a scheme that attempts to mask their involvement.  The American Public Policy Center, receives donations from numerous left wing sources, but mainly from the 527S Group 'Patriot Majority' which has as ITS funders,  AFSCME ( American Fedn of St/Cnty/Municipal Employees ) and SEIU. ( Service Employees International Union )

In 2008 alone, Patriot majority received from AFSCME and SEIU over $6.5 Million dollars. Other notable contributions from the Teamsters, CWA, and AFL-CIO.  The top two below.

    1     American Fedn of St/Cnty/Municipal Employees     $5,800,000
2     Service Employees International Union     $770,000

These two are unions which represent Michigan public employees.   Employees who pay dues to unions that lobby for the theft of our tax dollars already, and are now presuming to tell us that we do not have the moral high ground to petition our government, both in Michigan and nationally.  According to them we have wasted our time, and we will get over it..

This is merely the tip of the iceberg, when one considers there are others active politically who are not listed here as well. Nothing to see right? its merely a passing thing..  A fad.

    A lark..

Just something to blow off steam.

NO..  IMO, this is the fight of our lives.  We either go the rest of the way down the road to a corrupted government where the people no longer have any say, or we throw the yoke off our backs and outlaw government employee unions.  These people will never stop trying to separate your hard earned money from you, by scheme or outright redistribution.  If government is there to protect people, why would they NEED a union?  Add to this, the ratio of government employee to private sector has never been larger, and we simply cannot afford it any longer.

Michigan has been the poster child for the destruction of a state based on the extortion of both business and taxpayer because of union involvement in the process.  I ask this to even you union dues payers.. ever try kicking out a boss? Doesn't work it?  You are not able to fire a union boss, and he makes three and four and sometimes ten times what you do.  you are nothing more than the peon to them that your union says your employer thinks you are.  They don't give a rats behind for the job, but for their  own power.

The teamsters showed this, and golly gee, one of you lucky teamsters got to kiss the ring:

despite the high cost of fuel and increasing difficulty trucking companies are having, have NOT let up pressure. As recently as June 9, 2008, Teamsters called for strike action against a company which already was facing financial problems.  As reported by Teamsters release:

The nationwide strike affects 24 terminals and about 1,250 Teamster employees at the PTS companies: Leaseway Motorcar Transport Company, E. and L. Transport Company, Hadley Auto Transport and Transportation Releasing.

We are on strike to enforce our bargaining table demands, said Fred Zuckerman, Director of the Teamsters Carhaul Division.

That was the Teamsters version..  Pretty straight forward and no apologies.  Performance Transportation Services Inc. announced closing a few days later.

Its all or nothing, and the union leadership is the parasite on your back..  and ours.

Interesting how the flak always becomes more dense the closer you get to hitting the target.   We must be veeeery close right about now, eh?

It is not the union(s) that I have a problem with per say, rather that there is no option not to join if you wish.   "Haftajoin" is a bad way to go with anything.

    Boom  boom boom...

To make it illegal for anyone who receives their pay from tax payer monies to be prohibited from belonging to a union. As public employee's they should not have that right. The military doesn't have it. There is a Federal prohibition against it.
Michigan needs to follow other states with which we compete and pass Right to Work legislation. Break the outsized influnence that these organizations wield. When one thinks how much political power these thugs have in relationship to the numbers they represent, in a real world they would be inconsequential. They would be nothing. They have become a destructive force in this country, filled with members of the CPUSA and the Socialist Party. The current crop of Union Leaders are all members of one of these groups of another. It is time that the Unions be relagated to the dust bin of history.
