    Operating below the radar is SOP for elected officials, nowadays.

    Here in Macomb County, the Eastpointe City Council were somehow able to get approx. $500,000 in federal money, in order to purchase two closed public schools, and then gave them to a property developer earlier this year.

    Yes, you heard that correctly: They used taxpayers dollars to purchase two shuttered buildings to give to a private business.

    The city's position was that the residents were kept in the dark until the contracts were about to be finalized so that there wouldn't be any outside speculators who may upset/delay the project.
