Its been argued that a trend is more important than the ACTUAL polling numbers when looking at political contests. Here in Michigan, a 20 point move in opinion might have dire consequences for the longest serving congressman who once scolded a debate opponent by saying "I knew King George.. You sir are NO King George!"

John Dingell, who was 20 points up as close as a mere month ago now lags opponent Dr. Rob Steele of Ann Arbor by a few points:

"Dingell, the House's longest-serving member, is trailing the Ann Arbor cardiologist 39.5 to 43.8 with 11 percent undecided, signaling a statistical tie in a race that was once considered safe territory for Democrats," reports The News. "The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 5.6 percent."

Record scratch insertion unnecessary..  Grab the fainting pillow.

Sometimes however, miracles can use a little help. I imagine a little support for the last few weeks would help to keep the trend in the RIGHT direction would help.

And maybe just a little prayer.

For term limits. Dingell has been in Congress since I was 8 months old. He needs to go along with a lot of other elite's. The current Aristocracy must be dismantled. We have to impose a Constitutional Amendment to end the reign of the well connected and political class. If a two term limit is good enough for the office of POTUS then it should be good enough for other elected and appointed positions in government. With the feeling running as it does against career politicians the iron is hot and we must strike now.

Then on to Levin and Stabacow!!!  Watch the "right" turn these two turds will take - but we MUST rid ourselves of these two!!!

As I see it when the flying Senator runs for reelection in 2012 is the same one faced by the Republican who ran against Comrade Lenin. From what I was told our candidate recieved no money from the state GOP or the National Party or the RSCC. That tells me that they have written Michigan off. Will the same thing happen in two years when we have a chance to knock off one of the creators of Medickill as she does sit on the Baucus committee that rammed this crap through the funnel. She can be beaten as could Lenin. Run against their records and they are vulnerable. It remains to be seen whether the elites and bluebloods will "allow" our candidate to compete on an even field with decent funding. Why the National and State Parties seemed inclined not to engage the Progressives in Michigan is a mystery to me. But you can damned well bet if it continues I see a new party coming into being really soon. With a few tweaks that new party is in a liquid state that seems to be taking a more solid form each and every day. Tea anyone?

While this is certainly good news, and the election will be closer than any Dingell has ever faced, I'm skeptical of believing a poll with a margin of error that's over 5%.  It'd be nice if a more reputable pollster did a poll in the 15th.
