    Today's Detroit News is reporting that everything that we all knew was coming, is coming down the pike.

    {Continued below}

    ...

    In this afternoon's Detroit News, House Speaker Andy Dillon is reported as saying that Tax hikes are possible.

    "We may look at targeted revenues before the end of this week," he said.

    We really won't know for certain until 5:00pm today (as if).

    We also know that Rep Dillon hasn't read, or just plain doesn't care about the article in today's News regarding personal incomes heading south here in Michigan.

    Median income in Michigan fell 2.5 percent last year, from $49,807 to $48,591, according to the census. Nationally, it fell 1.2 percent, from $52,673 to $52,029.

    It was the fourth year in a row that income dropped in Michigan.

    And it's likely to get worse, according to fiscal experts, because the census figures don't reflect this year's travails, which includes a skyrocketing unemployment rate of 15.2 percent.

    No word yet on if Sen. Bishop might suffer a chronic relapse of his Weak Upper Spine Syndrome that affected him back in '07, and allow a vote on ANY tax hike, revenue enhancement, fee increase, or any government euphamism for taking more money in his chamber.

    Stay tuned for further details...

    Oh, I was referring to Dillon, though I don't trust Bishop overmuch either.
