Figures that the freep would take the opportunity of the Tiller murder to smear the entire pro-life community. Seems I need to remind writer Brian Dickerson that since Roe v Wade, all of 5 abortionists have been murdered. Far more have dies from the flu than from a few wackos. Nor is there any mention that the murderer has mental health problems and is part of an anarchist group. But that, of course, does not fir the narrative. Anyway, from the freep: To defang fanatics, let them speak hate. The sidebar of the article has this:
 Those "protesters" are from the kook lone "church" in Witchita, infamous for mocking funerals of fallen soldiers! I kid you not! They are the bane of every conservative group on the face of this nation! It is a rogue church not affiliated with any denomination. They are kooks, and are well known as such. But they are a convenient photo op top paint the entirety of the pro-life community as demented kook bent on murder. From the article:

Murderers and child rapists have gotten less. How is it that abortion, which is supposed to be implied in the Constitution (it's not), has become the most sacred right in this country above those explicitly cited in the founding documents? Dickerson finishes with this: More than it exposes us to violence, the unfettered speech of extremists exposes their own irrationality. Such exposure is a civilized society's most powerful weapon against the lunatic fringe, and we should encourage them whenever they choose to turn it on themselves.Couldn't he just say "let everyone have a say?" Would have been far superior in being fair and balanced to not paint the entire pro-life community with two examples of kookiness, don't you think? Incidentally, The Detroit News had their own ax to grind on the back of the Tiller murder: Suspect in Kan. doctor's death warns of violence. Which would be equivalent to John Hinkley Jr. telling the AP that more Presidents will get shot at. Then again, why waste an opportunity to push forward a narrative?
