    A most profound embarassment (none / 0) (#2)

The Dem-controlled House is having a heck of a time pulling together to support Race to the Top because of the MEA.  The union is pulling out all the stops on the radio, gushing about how much teachers give to the community, which is pre-emptive damage control for when they dig in their heels to fight change.

This couldn't come at a worse time for democrats.

    Regarding HSAs... (none / 0) (#3)

Sorry, but this is one market-based idea that just doesn't work.  I owned a Golden Rule HSA a few years back.  Step one, you pay premiums for a "low cost" catastrophic care insurance plan that are so huge you have barely enough to put into the actual HSA.  Any step after that is sort of irrelevent.
